Sunshine Coast Vacation Guide

BLESSED with a high average sunshine, the picturesque Sunshine Coast (or Sun Coast) is located on the northern tip of Fiji's mainland of Viti Levu island. The region takes in Volivoli Peninsula, Sunset Point and the offshore holiday islands including Nananu-i-Ra island. Nananu-i-Ra is popular as it has some of the best beaches in this region. On the mainland, one of the best beaches there is at Volivoli Point. The views are stunning here as the islands are fringed by coral reef formations so the ocean colour ranges from deep azure blue through to vivid turquoise. It is only about a 2 hour road journey along a scenic coastal route via Lautoka. For guests going to Nananu-i-Ra, the boat transfer takes only 5-8 minutes from Ellington Wharf.
